HOW TO MAKE EUCALYPTUS OIL  

Here is how to make one of your own natural skin products in the comfort of your own home. I'm going to explain how to make homemade eucalyptus oil. Now, it's an easy recipe made from plant ingredients that you can get from garden centers and from health shops, too.

What you will need is a half a cup of olive oil, some fresh cut eucalyptus leaves, a jar to make the product, and a jar to store the product. The first thing to do is harvest the eucalyptus, which is best done in the morning, when the oils are at its peak.

It's very anti-bacterial with strong decongestant properties, and it's also very refreshing. Just fill the jar with the eucalyptus leaves and crush them with an object like a spoon or knife to help release some of the oils. And then pour your olive oil over the top, and place a lid on the jar.

Now give it a good shake. Depending on the weather, if it's a hot sun leave the jar outside for two days, shaking every twelve hours. For cooler, less sunlit days of the year  leave the jar outside for a month and shake it daily. And then, just strain off the oil with a closely weaved basket strainer into your jar, place the lid and there you are, your very own eucalyptus oil, which can be used directly onto your skin, or in the bath.

Eucalyptus is germicidal, and it acts as a vaso dilator helping to to improve circulation and general well being. Use it as an anti inflammatory for muscle and joint pain as well. There are endless uses for this concoction so investigate.
